A month ago, I was guest at one of my friends and we had some lovely time chatting till the early hours in the morning. When I was about to leave home, she presented me a gift and begun to tell a story about a lady who used to work at the ateliers of Chanel in Paris as a Couture Designer and the box she offered me was one of the many boxes in which they stored the left over fabrics of Chanel. As my friend was closely related to the lady, she had offered her some of the boxes for her projects.
When I asked my friend: “are you sure you want to give it to me?” She simply answered with a smile: “Ofcourse I am as I know you can use it for your projects.” I’m so happy and grateful to know such a wonderful person who could touch my heart so deeply (sorry for not mentioning her name to keep her identity private). Each time I look at the box, I can imagine it being stored in the ateliers of Chanel which gives me so much motivation to create.
Sometimes what seems to us to be a small gesture can mean so much to another. So, I always remember the sentence that one who gives freely will receive graciously. The world is full of surprises and all is possible for them who dare to act upon their dreams!
